About this Event
Host Organization: Carleton University Research Office
This information session is geared towards faculty members that are considering the possibility of submitting a SSHRC Insight Grant in this upcoming October 2016 competition. Hosted by the Research Facilitators in the Faculty of Public Affairs and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, this workshop is open to the entire Carleton campus.
We will provide a brief introduction to the SSHRC Insight Grant program, including covering any recent changes to the application process; discuss the evaluation criteria and adjudication process; and highlight some tips from our experiences on what makes a competitive SSHRC Insight Grant application. We will conclude with a panel of Carleton faculty members who have sat on SSHRC Insight Grant peer review committee and/or been successful at securing a SSHRC Insight Grant. The panel will share their do’s and don’ts with the audience as well as field any questions you might have.
