Please join us for a special guest lecture given by Canadian Ambassador Chris Westdal on Canadian – Russian Relations and Harper’s Foreign Policy. Drawing on decades of diplomatic experience, Ambassador Westdal will share his insights into the state of Canadian-Russian relations, with an eye to the greater context and nature of Canadian foreign policy under Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Speaker biography: Chris Westdal was Canadian Ambassador to Russia 2003-06; the UN in Geneva and the Conference on Disarmament 1999-2003; Ukraine 1996-98; South Africa 1991-93; and Bangladesh and Burma 1982-85. He earlier worked for CIDA in Tanzania, India and Nepal. In Ottawa, he worked at CIDA, DFAIT and the PCO.
