The speakers are Yunhee Choi and Jinhong Jeon of BARE (Bureau of Architecture, Research & Environment), Seoul, South Korea.
They will show a wide range of works, including their latest innovative architectural installation Air Folly, a modular shelter made of seaweed-based biodegradable plastics, and a COVID-19 mobile clinic Air Beam Pavilion. They will also present their interactive game developed for the Korean Architecture Archive.
Jinhong Jeon and Yunhee Choi received the 5th Arumjigi Heritage Tomorrow Prize in 2015 and were finalists for the Young Architects Program in 2016. They co-curated the Seoul Exhibition at the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism in 2021. Currently, they are associate directors for the opening exhibitions at the Korean Museum of Urbanism and Architecture, scheduled for 2026.
This lecture is presented in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre Canada.
