The Centre for Monetary and Financial Economics (Dept. of Economics) is hosting this talk on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 on Zoom at 9:00 am EST with speaker Mark Kruger (Opinion Editor at Yicai Global in Shanghai). With the release of China’s 14th Five Year Plan, President Xi Jinping set his sights on China’s becoming a high-income country by 2035. Drawing on the experience of other countries which have escaped from the middle-income trap, this talk will assess China’s prospects for continued rapid growth over the medium term. For anyone interested in economics, China, and international relations. Register by 2:00 pm EST on January 23 to receive the Zoom link
