Interface 2019 hosted by The Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art, and Culture (ICSLAC) presents (Un)bound: Interdisciplinary Dialogues to be held on May 3rd and 4th at Carleton University, located on unceded Algonquin territory (Ottawa). This year’s theme (Un)bound invites graduate students, emerging scholars, and artists whose research or creative practice attempts to cross traditional borders and boundaries within the academic and artistic realms. (Un)bound will explore what it means to be bound by constraints whether real or imagined, as well as the possibilities and struggles that emerge when we risk creating and/or working outside of these structured confines. The conference will provide a congenial environment where participants can present interdisciplinary research and form professional connections with like-minded peers.
