Light Up The Night with Chemistry In the Dark! Hands-on activities: 7:30 – 8:40 p.m.
With our hands-on activities, visitors can prepare their own slime, use liquid nitrogen to make ice cream (and yes, you can eat it), and check out our collection of smells – we have everything from nice (like fruits and spices) to nasty (like skunk and sweaty feet), not to mention molecules that have different smells if they are right- or left-handed. We will also have displays about the chemistry of wine and chocolate, as well as the history of chemical weapons and their surprising connections to modern medicine.
