CUAG invites you to a talk by the artists involved in the Wrapped in Culture project, a powerful reclamation project grounded in community engagement. Six Australian and four Canadian artists are working in public, participatory workshops at CUAG, collectively creating one Blackfoot buffalo robe and one Australian Aboriginal possum skin cloak.

The Australian artists are: Maree Clarke (Mutti Mutti, Yorta Yorta, Boon Wurrung), Vicki West (Tasmanian), Mitch Mahoney (Boon Wurrung, Barkindji), Molly Mahoney (Boon Wurrung, Barkindji), Kerri Clarke (Boon Wurrung), and Wade Mahoney (Barkindji). The Canadian artists are: Rosalie Favell (M├ętis), Barry Ace (Anishinaabe [Odawa]), Meryl McMaster (Cree) and Adrian Stimson (Siksika [Blackfoot]).

Light refreshments will be served at the talk. Admission is free and everyone is welcome! CUAG is an accessible space, with barrier-free washrooms and elevator.

Discount parking passes ($4.00 flat rate) will be available for sale at the tunnel entrance from 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Please see the visiting page for directions.

Wrapped in Culture is supported by a Canada Council for the Arts New Chapter grant.
