You are invited to join us at Carleton University for the Beneath the Waves Film Festival hosted by the Fish Ecology and Conservation Physiology Lab!

This is a free event open to the public. Whether you are an avid angler, an academic, a field naturalist, or just want to learn more about how you can become involved in local aquatic conservation, we would love for you to join us!

The evening will begin with a series of short films about aquatic conservation on a local and global scale. These films include award-winning submissions from past Beneath the Waves festivals as well as local contributions from students and conservation organizations.

The films will be followed by a panel discussion about engaging the public in aquatic conservation, including tips on how you can become involved. The expert panel will consist of:

Dr. Steven Cooke: Professor and Canada Research Chair in Fish Ecology and Conservation Physiology at Carleton University (www.fecpl.ca)

Lawrence Gunther: North America's only blind professional angler and the host of Feel the Bite TV and Blue Fish Radio. (www.lawrencegunther.com)

More panel members to be announced!
