Please join us for a presentation on Anti-ableism by, Gary Malkowski, Special Advisor to the President, Public Affairs, Canadian Hearing Society.

The presentation will bring awareness to attitudinal barriers in academics, the workplace and community and address anti-ableism policies and practices, focusing on but not limited to, anti-audism.

Gary Malkowski is a nationally recognized leader with an extensive track record of human rights, anti-discrimination, Deaf and Disability advocacy work. He was the first elected Deaf Member of Ontario's Provincial Parliament. Gary serves on Executive Committee, Board of Directors of the ARCH Disability Law Centre, Ontario Association of Education Advocates, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Alliance. He is a founding member of Captioning Movies Now Coalition. He has worked tirelessly on such issues as anti-racism, access and ethno-cultural equity, and access to professions and trades initiatives. He has made invaluable contributions to legal community services and is the recipient of numerous community honours and awards.
