Dr. Walters Samah is conflict resolution specialist and governance expert with several years of experience working in conflict and post-conflict environment. Dr. Samah currently works as Political Advisor for the UN-Mandated African Union Mission in Somalia. Prior to his deployment in Somalia, he had served as Mediator & Dialogue Facilitator for the Danish Refugee Council in the Central Africa Republic, Parliamentary Strengthening Specialist for the USAID's Parliamentary Strengthening Programme for Haiti and Civil Affairs Officer for the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti, respectively. Dr Samah holds an MA in Political Science and a doctoral degree in History of International Relations from the University of Yaoundé I (Cameroon) where he taught for several years.
