DESCRIPTION:Ojigíjowewin Indigenous Legal Symposium is 3-day symposium that provides space for discussions on Indigenous legal orders as they pertain to Indigenous identity fraud. Traditional protocols predate Canadian law and present a way to resolve Indigenous identity fraud. This symposium will provide Indigenous lawyers and community knowledge holders the opportunity to share their knowledge and bringing forward solutions based in Indigenous tradition that will help to develop a stronger and more respectful response to these claims.
