This seminar is designed for researchers considering doing research in a Research Data Centre, or for active RDC users. It will begin with a short presentation by Xuefeng Hu on the basic principles underlying the vetting of RDC results. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion during which Professor Simard-Duplain and Professor Brochu will share their insights on how to make the vetting process go smoothly. They will answer questions such as “How can you build in vetting considerations from the start of a research project?” “What advice would you give a new researcher about vetting?” “What part of the vetting process is the most time consuming, and how do you minimize the amount of time vetting takes?” “What is residual disclosure, and how do you avoid it?” They will also take questions from the audience in either English or French.
