About this Event
Host Organization: Institute of Political Economy
“The Work of (Anti)Colonialism” is a two-day SSHRC-funded colloquium that is being hosted at Carleton University on Friday May 17th and Saturday May 18th. Drawing together thirteen scholars from across Canada and the United States, it will open a sustained dialogue on the past, present, and future of tensions and solidarities between organized labour and Indigenous-led anti-colonial struggle in what is presently known as Canada. Participating scholars bring a range of expertise from across a number of disciplinary backgrounds, social locations, and levels of seniority within the academy.
