Join us for a thought-provoking seminar on the intersections of urbanism, indigenous identity, and the transformation of Luanda during the oil boom. Claudia Gastrow (University of North Carolina) will present her latest work on the aesthetics of belonging in this rapidly changing urban landscape, followed by discussions led by Antonio Tomas ( UC Irvine) and Grace Adeniyiki (Queen’s University).
This is an excellent opportunity for scholars, students, and enthusiasts of African studies, urbanism, and postcolonial societies to engage in a rich dialogue on these pressing issues.
