About this Event
Host Organization: Faculty Research Facilitators (FASS, FPGA, Sprott)
The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council’s Insight Research program supports research that builds knowledge and understanding about people, societies, and the world by supporting research excellence in all subject areas eligible for SSHRC funding.
This information session is for faculty members thinking about applying for either an Insight Grant or Insight Development Grant in the coming year. It will clarify similarities and differences between the two program streams (IDG and IG), including their respective application components; offer tips to guide your writing; shed light on the adjudication process; and suggest strategies to increase the competitiveness of your application.
The session will include a presentation by Faculty Research Facilitators, a panel discussion featuring researchers who have participated on Insight adjudication committees and successfully applied for (and held) Insight funds, and a Q&A period.
