Carleton University Women in Business is calling all aspiring entrepreneurs to participate in our Ready, Set, Pitch? Competition this February 10th at 6pm. To enter, competition teams must register a business project or the idea of it. Participants require at least 1 woman on their team. The top 3 winning teams will not only be awarded, but will also have the chance to showcase a short 2 minute video of their projects in front of 250+ attendees during our upcoming Conference: A World of Opportunities set to be held on March 2, 2017 from 5-10pm, which will include many business professionals from various backgrounds. At this conference, competitors will have the opportunity totalk and network with future employers and possible sponsors to kickstart their important ventures.

In addition, the winning teams will compete in this fall of 2017\'s Harvard University Innovation Competition on behalf of CUWIB and run the chance to network with high executives during workshops, talks and mentorship programs. This past year\'s competition speakers included the Co-Founder of Tinder and CEO of Bumble, the Vice President of Continuum, the President of MIT, the Head of Innovation Ventures at State Street Bank\'s Global Exchange Division, and many more. Furthermore, a total of $10,000 is awarded to the top 3 teams at the Harvard Innovation Competition. Please note winners will still be responsible for travel costs and accommodations to and from Boston, MA. Finally, winners will be featured on all of our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Website, and Ignite Magazine).
