This workshop is only open to those who supervise, lead, or manage teams at Carleton.

As we continue to work remotely, most managers and supervisors have moved their teams to effective online set-ups: ensuring colleagues have organized their tech tools, defined their processes, and are permanently logged into their video conference accounts. Having the right tools and modes of communication is a good first step towards creating an effective work environment for remote employees. The next critical question we must ask is: How do you motivate people who work from home? During this 3-hour online workshop, we introduce you to motivational theory, concepts and best practices, specifically while working remotely. Together, we will:

• Consider how working from home might impact motivation
• Recognize negative motivators that can lead to reduced work performance
• Identify positive motivators that can increase work performance
• Consider ways to make ensure that work feels engaging to the staff involved

Registration is available through Carleton Central. Under the Employee Services tab, click on Learning and Professional Development, then select Workshop Registration and followed by All Workshops. More information will be sent to you via email closer to the session date.
