About this Event
Host Organization: Health and Counselling Services
Carleton is offering in-person KORU Mindfulness workshops. During this evidence-based 4 week program, you will be introduced to basic skills of mindfulness and meditation to help manage stress, increase well-being and approach life with more self-compassion.
Our goal is to help you learn techniques to manage your busy mind and train your brain to pay attention differently in order to deal more effectively with stress, overwhelm and difficult emotions. Group size ranges from 5 – 15 and classes will focus on a variety of skills, including breathing exercises, body scans, labelling thoughts, guided imagery and more. Participants are encouraged to practice for ten minutes each day.
Beginners and experienced meditators welcome!
Date: Mondays, June 6, 13, 20 and 27
