Host Organization: Joint Chair in Women's Studies

Organized by Dr. Ummni Khan, the Joint Chair in Women's Studies (Carleton University and the University of Ottawa), this one-day event will bring together contributors to the book "Le sujet du féminisme est-il blanc? Femmes racisées et recherche féministe" edited by Naïma Hamrouni and Chantal Maillé and other writers, scholars, and activists, to discuss the important conversations and challenges that have come out in the wake of the book's publication in 2015. The event will be in French, and French-English simultaneous interpretation will be provided. Title of event in French: “Le sujet du féminisme est-il blanc? Conversations, questions, défis”
