Abstract
As we navigate the 4th Industrial Revolution the role of innovation is important, controversial and often a source of confusion. Innovation in the context of B2B is the application of an idea andor technology that adds value to an industrial process or outcome. As we discuss how to commercialize ideas, words matter, is your idea disruptive or innovative or a continuous improvement.
We will explore the premise that innovation is often organic, you can only apply so much force or you end up pushing a rope. Innovation needs to evolve and the best outcomes are when its fueled by customer interaction. Finally, one of the most powerful aspects of innovation within the 4th Industrial Revolution is the requirement to rethink, and hopefully reinvent, the constructs of capital and the ‘Future Of Work’.
