Do you find yourself diligently writing feedback on end-of-term assignments only to wonder, “Will my students actually read and learn from any of this?” Stop wondering; start front-loading your feedback instead.

In this workshop, we will discuss both the “why” and “how” of formative assessment, a strategy that requires you to break down assignments into smaller chunks and provide feedback to your students earlier in the term. You’ll also have a chance to reflect on ways you might be able to modify or enhance your own current assessment practices in light of our discussions.
