Description
Workshop Day is a hands-on, interactive and in-person event for women students in STEM to develop their career-ready employability skills for an upcoming Co-op, internship, role or future career. Registration is now available for this year’s Workshop Day on Saturday, January 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.!
Ready to transform self-doubt into resilience and renewed confidence? Back by popular demand, author, TEDx speaker and leadership coach Tanya Geisler will introduce attendees to her ICONIC Framework™ to help them transform hard moments into confidence, clarity and action.
In STEM’s high-pressure environments, challenge and comparison can spark self-doubt. In this interactive keynote-workshop titled “ICONIC Resilience: Rising Strong”, participants will identify their leadership identity, understand how the Imposter Complex shows up in STEM, and build a personalized “resilience reflex” they can use in interviews, teamwork, academic transitions and beyond.
Attendees can expect to:
- Identify their primary ICONIC Identity (Host, Healer, Maven, Visionary, Sage or CEO)
- Recognize external bias vs. internal self-doubt
- Turn feedback into fuel and as data for growth
- Prepare for interviews using their identity strengths
- Take one bold next step and celebrate progress
Through interactive table work, peer-based exercises, reflection tools and guided discussion, participants will leave with a tangible “resilience reflex” and an actionable plan for sustaining confidence, connection and self-trust that they can take beyond the workshop into their careers and everyday moments.
Workshop Day is part of Carleton University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design’s Women in Engineering & IT (WiE&IT) Program. Students who attend the event will also have the opportunity to refine their CV and leave with a certificate of program completion. Lunch will be provided and ever
