The Butterflies are back and welcoming in-person visitors to this much beloved annual show!

The popular Biology Butterfly Show returns this fall, this year with an option to attend in person or virtually once again on Zoom.

Hosted by the Department of Biology, the show features approximately 1,000 exotic butterflies representing 41 different species from around the world amid lush plants in a tropical setting.

Butterflies love colour and sweet treats! To encourage a landing visitors are encouraged to wear bright clothing and bring pineapple and orange slices, they may even climb onto an outstretched hand or an unsuspecting shoulder!

This year in person visits are available on weekends and will include timed ticketing access. Tickets are available on site. Carleton staff will have a special opportunity to visit during the lunch hour, October 3rd to 7th and virtual visits are available on Zoom.
