Supporting International Student Success

In this session, participants will gain a deeper understanding of Carleton’s international student population and increase their awareness of the challenges international students encounter within the university and immigration systems. Through a mix of lecture-style content and discussion opportunities, participants will learn when and how to refer international students to key services and supports, and reflect on the role that they can play in supporting international student success.
What to Expect
Session length: 1.5 hours
This workshop may include the following activities:
- Periods of sitting
- Listening to a facilitator
- Discussion and interaction with colleagues
- Viewing a multimedia presentation
