Are you developing a research program that advances new ideas, methods, or perspectives in the social sciences and humanities? Join us for an informative and practical session designed to help faculty members navigate the Insight Grant and Insight Development Grant programs with confidence.

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)’s Insight programs support high-quality research that builds knowledge and understanding across eligible subject areas. This session will provide a clear, accessible overview of both Insight funding programs, along with concrete strategies to help you develop a strong, competitive application.

Participants will learn:

• The goals and structure of the Insight Grant and Insight Development Grant programs
• What an Insight application consists of
• What adjudicators are looking for across key application components
• Strategies for strengthening your research narrative and positioning your work for success

The session will include a presentation by faculty research facilitators, a panel discussion featuring experienced merit review committee members (Ilyan Ferrer, Social Work, FPGA, and Sheryl-Ann Simpson, Geography, FASS), and a Q&A.
