Biography
Leila Mostaço-Guidolin, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Imaging and Biomaterials Characterization and an Associate Professor in Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University. Her interdisciplinary research integrates advanced imaging, tissue engineering, and machine learning to investigate extracellular matrix remodeling in chronic lung diseases and fibrosis. She co-directs the Tissue Engineering and Applied Materials (TEAM) Hub, a collaborative research network spanning academia, hospitals, and government agencies. Her work advances predictive models of disease progression and fosters the development of translational therapeutic strategies.
