This workshop will help participants to understand their role in the network of student support at Carleton University. It will explore help-seeking behaviours in students, the holistic student experience, and an overview of various student support services on campus. Best practices for an effective referral will also be explored, with specific attention to how FIPPA plays into the referral process.

What to Expect

This workshop may include the following activities:

• Periods of sitting
• Movement around the physical space (optional)
• Listening to a facilitator
• Discussion and interaction with colleagues
• Viewing a multimedia presentation
