Members of the Carleton community are invited to the Nideyinàn Galleria on October 30 for a Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) altar unveiling ceremony in honour of the victims of the Filipino Lapu-Lapu Day festival tragedy.

The altar was designed by Fernando Trigo Bilbao and his students from the Modern American School in Mexico City with input from the Embassy of Mexico. The ceremony begins at 10:00AM and includes speeches and a dedication from members of the Carleton University Filipino Students Association (CUFSA), followed by games and activities until 3:00PM.

This event is a collaboration between the Embassy of Mexico, the Modern American School in Mexico City, UNAM Canada, Carleton University Student Association (CUSA), Carleton University Filipino Student Association, and the School of Linguistics and Language Studies. All are welcome to attend.
