The Landon Pearson Centre would like to invite you to the event, “30 Years Since Stockholm: Reflections on Ending Child Sexual Exploitation,” to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first World Congress against the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children. The event will also celebrate the launch of Mark Hecht’s new book, Profit Over Protection: Big Business, Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children, and the Law, which examines the role of law and business in addressing the commercial sexual exploitation of children.
Guillaume Landry, Executive Director of ECPAT International and a participant in the first World Congress, will join us to reflect on how global efforts to combat the commercial sexual exploitation of children have evolved over the past three decades and the challenges that remain.
The hybrid event will take place at Richcraft Hall, Room 3202, with a virtual Zoom option, providing an opportunity to reflect on past progress, discuss ongoing challenges, and continue the global conversation on protecting children.
