Join us for the annual Dhahan Lecture Series 2022!

Since 2012, the Dhahan Lecture Series, created by Barj Dhahan in honour of his parents, has always been a knowledge-sharing platform that facilitates dialogue between the Indo-Canadian communities. This year, CICE is thrilled to announce the return of Dhahan Lecture 2022. The lecture will take place on November 24th, 2022 at Fenn Lounge, Carleton University from 3 – 5 PM EST. You can also join the lecture on Zoom.

It is our privilege to have Balbir Madhopuri join us as our guest speaker. Madhopuri is an award-winning Punjabi language writer, poet, and translator. Coming to the lecture this year, Madhopuri will share his lived experience as a former child labourer from India’s marginalized communities. Through that, he will shed light on the power of literature in providing voices for the oppressed.
