When we begin designing a course, sometimes we are uncertain how to start and the task quickly appears to be a more complex challenge than we anticipated. In this highly interactive workshop, participants will be introduced to a teaching framework and pedagogical strategies aimed to help instructors design learning module from scratch. Working in groups, the participants will immediately put in practice new knowledge and skills.

This session consists of two parts:

Part 1: Learning design process and alignment
-The outcomes of the learning experience
-The assessment of learning
-Instructional strategies

Part 2: Group Exercise
-Each group is given a different learning task and a design guide, and they work collaboratively to design a learning module to include: learning outcomes, assessment strategy with a rubric, and instructional strategies
-Group presentations

All resources will be provided, just bring an open mind and be ready for a fun activity that will have an immediate application to your teaching practice!

This session is intended for all participants who are involved in designing learning experiences, in any delivery format.
