Interested in using cuLearn for more than just posting a course outline and showing students their grades? Move beyond basic cuLearn navigation to explore and use more of what the tool has to offer.

Let us show you how to use cuLearn to schedule meetings with your students, take attendance, offer your students choice, solicit anonymous feedback, and set up groups within your class. We’ll also explore the cuLearn activity logs to help you monitor and check in on your students’ course activities, so you can see how they are interacting with the materials. By the end of this session, you will know how to:

– Set up the feedback and choice
– Set up assessment activities, such as quizzes and assignments
– Manage activity-linked gradebook columns
– Take attendance and use the scheduler
– Set up groups and group self-selection
– Use course logs to monitor student activity in the course (if time allows)

This session is intended for participants who are familiar with cuLearn basics at a beginner-level or early developing level of cuLearn knowledge, and are ready to explore or add in extra tools and techniques to their courses.

It is recommended that you take Introduction to cuLearn Basics 1. Bring your own laptop. A limited number of Mac and PC laptops will be available for use.
