Living with Drones debuted at the Camden People’s Theatre and P21 Art Gallery in London, UK, in January 2025 and continued with sold-out performances at Toronto’s Theatre Centre and at the Museum of Palestinian People in Washington, DC. This show highlights the relevance of diary as record keeping amidst the onslaught of drones used to surveil, intimidate, destroy and target Gaza’s civilians.
Living with Drones takes us into the sounds of war, in particular the use of drones, and their devastating, traumatic impact on the residents of Gaza. By tying together first-person stories from Gaza with wartime diaries from story sharers, this show weaves a narrative about the use of drone technology and its impact on people’s lives, land and livelihood.
Key Highlights of the Show
Unique Format: Diary-style storytelling featuring personal accounts from Gaza, enhanced with multimedia elements, music and live performance.
Timely and Relevant: Focuses on the ongoing crisis in Gaza, contextualized within historical and global perspectives on drone warfare.
