Resurgence in oil and gas production from the United States. Deep declines in the cost of renewables. The growing share of electricity in the energy mix. A cleaner and more diversified energy mix in China.

These changes provide the backdrop for the World Energy Outlook 2017, which will have its Canadian launch on Friday, November 24th at Carleton University.

A presentation of the World Energy Outlook, which includes a full update of energy demand and supply projections to 2040 based on different scenarios, will be presented. The projections are accompanied by detailed analyses of their impact on energy industries and investment, as well as implications for energy security and the environment.

Paul Simons, Deputy Executive Director of the International Energy Agency in Paris, will provide the presentation followed by a Q&A.
