Did you know that when you use images and content together in your teaching, student comprehension increases? Images add interest and appeal to your courses, and lectures, but they can also add another layer of meaning and understanding to your content.

If you are interested in integrating images into your courses and lectures, this hands-on session is for you. Perhaps you already use some images, but want to find better pictures or make your existing pictures more effective? We can help with that too.

EDC Educational Technology staff will teach you design best practices and practical technology skills to use images in your class. By the end of this session, you will know how to:
– Find and use copyright-free or creative commons images
– Apply guidelines and design best practices for image use
– Perform basic image editing
– Integrate images into culearn
– Add alt text to make images accessible

This session is intended for participants with beginner/intermediate computer skills and beginner/intermediate internet search abilities. Please bring a laptop to this session. A limited number of Mac and PC laptops will also be available to borrow.
