About this Event

Host Organization: Carleton University - Faculty of Public Affairs

Bagels and Banter is a monthly opportunity to discuss shared research and teaching and learning topics with faculty members in a relaxed setting. Learn about new topics, teaching methods and potential research collaborations.

Bagels and Banter is open to all faculty members. Faculty members are encouraged to bring their graduate students.

February’s topic “The Challenge of Class Size: Big and Small” is presented by Simon Power (Department of Economics).

The challenge of a big class is a familiar one: Everyone seems to have an opinion and everyone needs help at the same time. But small classrooms have their challenges too. We’ll discuss and share teaching tips for both.
