Host Organization: Department of Physics
More Information: Please click here for additional details.

Come up to Carleton's observatory to see Jupiter, Saturn, and the Moon,as well as a few more distant objects, such as star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.

Three sessions are planned, to accommodate as many people as possible in the limited space of the observatory:
- A: 7:30 to 8:30pm
- B: 8:30 to 9:30pm
- C: 9:30 to 10:30pm

Registration is required, as the observatory can only accommodate 20 people at a time. If you plan to bring guests, please register them as well. Note that only the name and email fields in the registration form are relevant to this event.

Dress for the weather; the observatory offers little insulation. Also, if you require glasses to see far-away objects, bring them, as the telescope can be used with glasses on.

The observatory is located at the top of stairwell C in Herzberg Laboratories, which can be found on maps throughout the building or at the "More Information" link above. The top floor of the building can be reached by elevator, but the roof is only accessible by the final flight of stairs. Signage indicating the location of the observatory will also be posted at the front door of the building (by the base of the big pendulum).

If you would like to cancel registration, or have any other inquiries, contact me with the above email.
