Join us for the annual Alternative Spring Break (ASB) Silent Auction, happening November 27th and 28th in the University Centre Galleria. Items at the auction will include a guitar signed by Colonel Chris Hadfield, gift certificates, entertainment items, museum passes, holiday gifts, and so much more! All proceeds support ASB participants in funding their community-engaged learning experiences in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Ottawa.

The Alternative Spring Break is an immersive year-long program that culminates with a week of action, reflection, and community engagement with a partner organization during reading week in February. Students learn about social, environmental, and cultural issues impacting their host community, while supporting meaningful, community projects. During the 2018/2019 program, students will engage with six different communities while learning about specific themes, including access to education, food security, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental conservation.
