Carleton’s Journalism School is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the granting of the first Bachelor of Journalism degrees in Canada.
The School has been in the forefront of journalism education from the beginning, graduating three Bachelor of Journalism recipients in its inaugural Class of 1946. All were women, who took their place at the head of what is now a very long – and still growing – line of distinguished alumni.
To commemorate our graduates and this historic occasion, the School is hosting a special panel entitled “Women in Journalism” at a luncheon on Friday, September 16.
