Carleton University Political Science Graduate Conference
As a keynote speaker for this year Carleton Political Science Graduate Conference, Dr. Rex Brynen will give a talk on the politics of the Middle East with a special emphasis on the situation in Arab World post Arab Spring Events. Dr. Rex Brynen is a professor at the Department of Political Science, McGill University. He received his PhD from the University of Calgary. His Research interests are in Security and development in fragile and conflict-affected states. Middle East politics: Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon; Arab-Israeli peace process (with special emphasis on development assistance and refugees); regional conflict, security and development in the Middle East; authoritarianism and democratization in the Arab world as well as professional political-military wargaming. Conflict, peace building and development simulation.
The event is open to all students and faculty members from all departments.
