1125@Carleton: Ottawa's Living Lab

1125@Carleton is Ottawa's Living Lab. In this presentation we will explain what that means and describe how 1125@Carleton can benefit students and researchers in the Faculty of Public Affairs. Specifically, we will discuss the foundational and experiential learning opportunities that are offered in the space and will highlight the various types of research projects that we facilitate, including those that come to 1125@Carleton from the community and those that are brought to us by Carleton researchers. By drawing on examples of specific projects that are relevant to students and faculty in the Faculty of Public Affairs, we will identify ways in which 1125@Carleton can be used by you when preparing your grant applications and/or conducting your research. In doing so, we will also explain the design thinking processes and methodologies that are relied upon in 1125@Carleton to facilitate campus-community collaborations, and will discuss some of the other defining features of the space. Time will be left at the end of the presentation for questions and answers.
