About this Event
Host Organization: HEALTH SCIENCES
THE FUTURE OF CANADIAN HEALTH CARE
An invitation from Dr. Chris Carruthers, Chair, Board of Governors, Carleton University
On behalf of the Health Sciences campaign ambassadors Dr. Pradeep Merchant, Mr. Ken Evans and Mr. David Skinner, I am inviting you to the second Health Sciences Showcase on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
I invite you to join us in strengthening Canada's health care system through education as we discuss some of our most pressing health challenges, such as a rise in chronic illnesses, diseases of aging, infectious disease, and pandemics.
We’re excited to welcome keynote speaker, Globe and Mail health reporter André Picard, BJ/87 who will address current issues across Canada and possible solutions our health care system needs, such as a focus on home care, education and prevention.
See, firsthand, the progress of the new Health Sciences complex, and receive hands-on demonstrations in health research happening in our new Department of Health Sciences.
Carleton University believes it is time for a new approach to health education. If you share our conviction that there is much good to be done, here’s your chance to be a part of this important conversation. We hope you will join us.
