Biography:
Tony Griffiths has spent his career steering companies out of troubled waters. Richard Blackwell of The Globe and Mail has dubbed him Corporate Canada’s Mr. Fix-It. Mr. Griffiths is a veteran corporate executive and director. He was twice appointed the position of President and CEO of Mitel Corporation, first from 1985-87 and again from 1991-93, during which time he helped the company return to profitability. Throughout his career, he has held numerous high-level executive positions that include CEO of Jonlab, Canadian Cablesystems Limited, Harding Carpets Limited and The Ondaatje Corporation.

Presently, Mr. Griffiths serves as the Chairman of Russel Metals Inc. and Novadaq Technologies Inc.. He is also serves on the boards of Vitran Corporation, Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, Gedex Inc., Jaguar Mining Inc., Northbridge Financial Corporation, Odyssey Re Holdings Corporation, Zenith National Insurance Corporation, and The Brick Group Income Fund.

Born in Rangoon, Burma, he was educated at McDonogh School in Maryland, McGill University in Montreal (BA/54) and the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (MBA/56).
