Please join us in the Alumni Association Reading Room at the MacOdrum Library on campus for an opening reception for She Wants an Output, followed by a panel discussion at 7:00 p.m. with artist and musician Mary Anne Barkhouse, musician and arts administrator Keltie Duncan and writer and curator Julia Pine, moderated by curator Michael Davidge.
In the 1980s, Mary Anne Barkhouse was a bass player in Restless Virgins, a first-wave punk rock band active in Ottawa, while Julia Pine was a musician, producer, writer and community organizer. The exhibition’s title is taken from a lyric in the song “What Can I Get from You?” by Restless Virgins, released in 1981.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome! The MacOdrum Library is an accessible space, with barrier-free washrooms and elevator.
