About this Event

Host Organization: CURO; Carleton Scholar

Research is driven by the need to better understand the world we live in. Whether it is developing critical understanding, designing or improving processes or products, influencing policy change, or even supporting community well-being, the impact of research is at its strongest when research is engaged with partners and the results become useful to society.

Workshop participants will gain an understanding of theories, frameworks, tools, and indicators related to research impact and knowledge mobilization and have a chance to put their skills to work. The workshop is led by Dr. David Phipps, Executive Director of Research and Innovation at York University and co-founder of Research Impact, a pan-Canadian network of 12 universities committed to maximizing the impact of academic research for the social, economic, environmental and health benefits of Canadians.

Light refreshments will be served.
