About the Book:

Religious Freedom at Risk: the EU, French Schools, and Why the Veil was Banned examines matters of religious freedom in Europe, considers the work of the European Court of Human Rights in this area, explores issues of multiculturalism and secularism in France, of women in Islam, and of Muslims in the West.

About the Author:

Melanie Adrian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law and Legal Studies at Carleton University and winner of the 2012-2013 FPA Teaching Excellence Award. Her research focuses on the intersections of multiculturalism, nationalism, religion and the law.

Admission is free
