Everyone is welcome to attend Prostitution, Trafficking, and Comedy in Ancient Rome, a lecture by Dr Toph Marshall, Professor of Ancient Performance Traditions and Greek Poetry in the Department of Classical, Near Eastern, and Religious Studies at The University of British Columbia. His book on The Stagecraft and Performance of Roman Comedy (Cambridge, 2006) won the Choice Outstanding Academic Title 2007. He recently co-edited the volumes No Laughing Matter: Studies in Athenian Comedy (Bristol, 2012) and Classics and Comics (Oxford, 2011).
