Carleton’s Centre for European Studies is hosting the Ninth Biennial Conference of the European Community Studies Association-Canada (ECSA-C) in Ottawa on April 26-28, 2012. The title of this year’s conference is “Europe in an Age of Austerity: Integration, disintegration, or stagnation?”
This major conference brings together distinguished Canadian and international scholars. Information about the registration procedure and fees is available at http://canada-europe-dialogue.ca/conference-on-europe-in-an-age-of-austerity. Registration deadline is April 15, 2012. The conference also offers a number of free events. Two lectures are free and open to the public: “Indifference, Skepticism, Identities – Citizen (Non)Attitudes on Europe after Six Decades of Integration,” by Sophie Duchesne, on April 26, 2012, 5:30 pm-7:00 pm and “Roundtable: Europe in an Age of Austerity” on April 27, 2012, 3:00 pm-4:30 pm.
On April 26, 2012, graduate students will be able to participate in the ECSA-C Young Researchers Network Professional Development Day for which they can register free of charge at http://canada-europe-dialogue.ca/yrn-professional-development-day (deadline April 22).
