Since the fall of Soviet Union in 1991, Kazakhstan has re-emerged as an independent and sovereign country, which is now the economic powerhouse of Central Asia and a reliable partner of the international community. Kazakhstan has always been a bridge between East and West, North and South, and this year the country celebrates the 550th Anniversary of the establishment of the Kazakh Khanate (State). To honour this occasion and offer insight into the country’s fascinating history, the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Canada, EURUS, and the Centre for Governance and Public Management (CGPM) are pleased to host a special round table seminar. Presentations will be given by international and local experts; remarks will also be given by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador his Excellency Konstantin V. Zhigalov. Reception to follow.
