Throwback is Carleton University’s Homecoming—a celebration of all that was, is and is yet to be from the brilliant minds that make up Carleton University. This is Carleton’s fourth annual Throwback in celebrating the past and inviting everyone back to campus for numerous events between September 12th-17th (http://alumni.carleton.ca/throwback/).

This year Men’s Soccer will be a part of the event with a very special tribute match to former Carleton Soccer Member: Joe Leafloor. Joey passed away in a tragic snowmobiling accident on January 21, 2012 at the age of 31. He was a proud and talented soccer member of Team Canada, Algonquin College and Carleton University. In recognition of this, Algonquin Men’s Soccer Alumni has started the Joe Leafloor Cup and as a new tradition the Cup will be held collaboratively by both school alumni organizations in a match in “Joey’s” honour with Carleton Alumni vs. Algonquin Alumni.
